Border Patrol seizes more than $1.2M in alleged cocaine at Texas border bridges

Drugs found hidden in vehicles crossing from Mexico, officials say

U.S. Border Patrol agents seized more than $1.2 million worth of alleged cocaine during two separate busts last week, according to federal authorities.

The seizures happened at the Hidalgo International Bridge and the Pharr International Bridge, officials said. Officers discovered a combined 39 packages of alleged cocaine hidden inside two vehicles crossing from Reynosa, Mexico.

Authorities said the alleged cocaine weighed more than 93 pounds. Both vehicles were seized, and Homeland Security arrested both drivers.
